The following are the steps required to map a specific folder on S Drive as a network drive. This is used to aid employees that work at regional campuses access S Drive files in Prince George. This can be sent out as instructions for the user to follow, or for you to follow once you have accessed their computer remotely.
(NOTE: Permission to access shared folders has to be pre-approved by the user's manager/dean/supervisor, and permissions granted via ADUC, or the following steps will not work.)
- Open File Explorer and right click on This PC
- Select Map network drive...

- Choose an unused drive letter and insert the following address into the Folder dialogue box: \\ad.cnc.bc.ca\princegeorge\(insert exact file path) E.g.: ”\\ad.cnc.bc.ca\princegeorge\Collaboration\Cost Recovery Resources". Please make sure all spaces or other punctuation in the folder name is exact.

- Click Finish and confirm that the folder has been mapped successfully.
