Description / Summary: Guide on setting a secondary output device to ring in Teams

When using a soft phone client you may not always be right at your screen, and you most likely don't want to be stuck wearing your headset all day or constantly unplugging and plugging it back in.

Teams has a feature called 'Secondary Ringer' that allows you to set another sound device (laptop speakers, internal desktop PC speakers, bluetooth speakers, etc.) that is only used for ringing and doesn't play audio from your calls.

1 - Access your Teams settings. In your Teams application for PC, select the ••• to the left of your user icon and select 'Settings', as in the screen shot below.

2 - From the 'Settings' pane, select 'Devices'. Near the bottom of the page, you will see 'Secondary Ringer' with a drop down field below it. By default this is set to none. Click this drop down to see your list of sound devices and select whichever you would like to set as your extra ringer.

That's it! As long as your device is powered (if necessary) and has the volume turned on, this should now ring in addition to your headset when receiving a call.
