What is this?
Use this form to request the acquisition or development of a new CNC IT Tool. Examples of current CNC-developed IT Tools are the business card creation tool, and the instructor database; examples of tools we've acquired are Bluebird and the International Education Payment Portal. If you require a technologically-based tool in your department, please complete the form and IT Services will work with you to find the best solution.
What information do I need for this request?
As the creation or acquisition of tools is considered a project, you will need to provide more information on the request form than we normally ask for on our forms. Please provide:
- Executive or Manager approval
- The name of the person who will be the primary user of the tool
- The department that's requesting the tool
- A business case for acquiring or developing a new tool
- What other departments or business units might benefit from this new tool
- How might the tool impact other systems which are already in place at CNC?
- A Privacy Impact Assessment
- A plan to promote the adoption of this tool to stakeholders
