Onboarding a New Member of Staff
Please do not use these forms when onboarding a new member of staff. IT assets and access can not be assigned or permitted until the start date entered by HR, and IT receives a New Hire Workflow from them. If you wish your new employee to have access to services such as email prior to their official start date, please contact Human Resources. What information do I need to use this?
Please familiarise yourself with our IT Standards and Guidelines, particularly the CNC User End-Point Deployment and Evergreen Renewal Standard and the CNC IT Equipment Standard. CNC IT equipment is replaced according to a generalized, device-specific lifecycle, but may need to be replaced at a time which falls outside of this cycle depending on use, environment, and other reliability factors. Our aim is to ensure that all CNC employees have the technology tools that are required to perform their duties, and that each employee (Staff or Faculty) is allocated equipment that suits their need.
To request standard IT equipment, you will need:
- Your manager's approval
- Your department's budget code
If you require IT equipment which falls outside of our equipment standard, please submit a Request for Non-Standard IT Equipment. You will require manager approval and are required to provide a business case for such requests to be approved.
Please allow for as much time as possible for your order to be fulfilled. Supply chain delays have impacted our asset inventory and we cannot guarantee just-in-time delivery or deployment.
Please note: equipment acquired outside of this process or without Information Technology Services approval may not be supported and may be required to be removed from our network.
